WELCOME TO
HiClimb's 3RD Annual
Bouldering Competition
Get ready for an exciting competition structured into two heats, culminating in an on-site final for the Open Categories: female/non-binary and male/non-binary. In this Red Point format, you'll have 3 hours to climb as many boulder problems as you can. Attempts will be counted in case of a tie. Each boulder is assigned unique points based on difficulty.
At the end of your heat, you'll select your top 8 scores, which will be tallied by our system to determine your difficulty level and rank (Beginner, Intermediate, Open).
Climb hard, have fun, and aim for the podium!
Schedule
September 14th
Gym is open for Members Only from 7 am - 9 am
Heat 1
Doors Open: 10:00 am
Competition Rules: 10:30 am
Climbing Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Raffles: 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Preliminary Scores are released at 2:30 pm - If you are in the running for Podium and want to participate, please return to the gym at 6:45 pm
*Any winners not present at award ceremony will be contacted for prize collection*
Rules

Three hours to climb.

Must establish start hold(s) to begin climb.

Both feet must be off the ground before either hand releases the start hold.

Finish at finish tag. If there is no finish tag, the finish is the top of the wall.

Must show control of the finish with two hands to earn points for that climb.

Attempts tracked and used in case of a tie.

No projecting.

An attempt is when both feet are off the ground.

Each climber must have two witnesses sign their scorecard to get credit for the climb.

Top 8 scoring boulders will be added together for your final score.

Problems can only be counted once.

Climber may only compete in one heat.

Raffle tickets do not roll over to next heat.

The climbers final score and selected gender identity will determine category.
The top 3 climbers in the OPEN category will win cash prizes.
The top 3 climbers in BEGINNER and INTERMEDIATE will win prizes from our sponsors.
All participants will be entered to win over $2,500 in raffle prizes!
